Are you warm yet?  Come on, you've been standing on that vent for the past 30 minutes.  Not to mention you have that blanket wrapped around you to lock in that body heat.  You surly have to be toasty by now.  Is this a scene you've witnessed one too many times with someone in your household?  In ours it was my younger brother.  That guy was always cold.  Although the rest of us liked the winter months, he wasn't too crazy about them to say the least.  These days I snicker at my wife because she's always cold.  Fortunately she doesn't have to resort to sitting on a vent for comfort.  Now hen we have our trusty wood burning fireplace.  Let me tell you, these are wonderful in the winter time.  There's nothing quite like a fine, cozy wood burning fireplace.  Watch as the flames dance in the darkness, while you relax with a hot cup of cocoa.

Do you have a trusty wood burning fireplace in your home?  Believe me, these can be life-savers if the power goes out during a bad storm.  All you need is some firewood and a match.  Stoke up that crackling wood burning fireplace and sit back to relax with the family.  A gas fireplace is not so reliable.  What is your gas is turned off or the pilot goes out?  These can be the irksome consequences of owning a gas fireplace instead of a classic wood burning fireplace.

The old-fashioned method is as reliable as you can get.  Isn't that what we all want?  A source of heat that we know we can trust to keep us warm and safe from the bitter cold.  Last winter I used my wood burning fireplace like crazy.  I'd rather purchase wood than deal with a gas bill any day.  It's easy when you buy it in the cord, and have it delivered to your home.  This way you have enough wood to burn all winter long.

Can't you just feel that nostalgia that goes along with a wood burning fireplace?  Those snaps, crackles, and pops never get old.  You can lounge in front of yours with a hotdog on a roasting stick and enjoy a cool campfire dinner.  And don't forget those marshmallows for desert.  Did someone say smores?  In addition to being a great and memorable experience, the old-school wood burning fireplace is also less of a hazard.  With gas comes potential gas leaks.  We all know what can happen here.  Enjoy a nice wood burning fireplace this cold season.
